Project management

Description

In project management, a clear structure, stable project organizations and continuous tracking of target achievement are a matter of course for us. Quality, adherence to schedules, a clear definition of roles and responsibilities as well as the integration of all process partners into the information flow are our top priorities.

Our technical expertise enables us to advise our customers comprehensively on the possibilities and limitations of systems available on the market or in development. We use our own models and simulations and use virtual prototyping in order to be able to provide decisive design information in the first project phases that facilitates integration into existing systems.

Our profitability and life-cycle cost analyses provide important information for the later implementation phase.

Before the start of the project, we agree on common ideas and implementation. It is very important to us that you are supervised by a project manager and therefore have a central contact person. He or she will work closely with you and the project team members from the various divisions and will be responsible for planning, organization and quality assurance. Together we will be able to maintain the balance between quality standards, the lowest possible costs and ambitious deadlines.

Package & Concepts

Description

How can components and modules be arranged in a product to meet geometric and functional requirements? In addition to the technical requirements, guard rails must be set in advance with regard to the technologies to be used, the industry specification and the potential customer profile. In order to be able to map the high number of variants, modern products have intelligent module structures. The aim is to make optimum use of the installation space and to design the product architecture with the best possible ergonomic, assembly and maintenance properties.

The basis for these concepts is the so-called package plan, on the basis of which the vehicle is created. This package plan is the red thread of the development work. In this phase of concept development, the technical boundary conditions for new chassis systems, modules or components to be developed are examined. Our employees create variant comparisons, benchmarks and concept designs for individual components or as a package. In this way, the ideas of our customers become sustainable concepts.

The DMU process (Digital Mock-Up) aims to provide CAD model data relevant to the construction stage in a transparent way, to summarise them and to examine their feasibility. With the help of CAD programs, we use these data to generate virtual representations of installation space and individual parts. The static and dynamic model data provide the developers involved with an overview of the progress of the projects and can thus point out possible interface problems.

The first solution approaches are developed together with you on the computer, taking into account the given installation space and the possible use of your software. Here the development time and the tool requirements are defined. After the creation of 3D models, the design is checked and the production costs estimated. The necessary validation process can then be planned in-house.

Our employees create variant comparisons, benchmarks and concept designs for individual components or as complete packages. In this way the ideas of our customers become sustainable concepts.

Voegerl Engineering Services sees itself as your partner; both as a provider of ideas and as an experienced consultant and designer. Based on our experience and the challenges in very diverse projects, we know the complexity of different components and processes. Parallel to the conception phase, we use modern technology to create the first design variants, test these using various calculation methods and optimise the design until the best possible technological and economic result is achieved. Ideas become concepts.

Assemblies & Components

Description

Without assemblies, the entire system cannot function at all or only to a limited extent. In plant and mechanical engineering, an assembly is seen as a part of the overall plant. Since the first steps usually take place virtually, we simulate the development concepts in order to optimize them in terms of stiffness, strength, safety, crash behavior and, of course, feasibility.

Materials, steel goods, design, and usability – our industry has changed considerably over the years; different challenges and technologies come up to us every day. Our goal is to avoid conflicts between these new requirements and your quality demands.

Due to the increased requirements for product protection, physical prototypes and unit carriers will continue to be a central component of the development process in the future. Concepts and ideas are not only tested virtually, but also in reality in the form of test samples. Since these physical prototypes are more complex than DMUs, it is particularly important to have time and costs in mind in order not to jeopardize your development schedule. We are happy to support you with our know-how and experience in toolmaking, milling and metrology.

Mechatronics

Description

With increasing performance and complexity, mechanical systems and products are increasingly losing their purely mechanical character. The principles of mechanics are used in almost all cases in technically more and more sophisticated products.

For this reason, the interaction of mechanical, electronic and information technology elements and modules is becoming increasingly important. The integration of mechanical, electrical and electronic components as well as software is mandatory for today’s products – regardless of whether they are vehicles, household appliances or machines. Voegerl Engineering Services covers all three areas and combines them with each other.

For a product to be competitive, it is crucial that new mechatronic products are developed to be marketable in a short period of time. For usn, marketability means fulfilling functions with increased product benefits, fulfilling quality features and an attractive price/performance ratio.

Our goal is to create a uniform overall concept:

Manufacturers in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, mechanical engineering and medical technology are faced with the challenge of converting their development processes to methods that require cooperation between several departments. The consolidation and audit-proof administration of product information between the departments involved is necessary in order to complete innovative, high-quality products on time and within the specified budget.

Although the development processes and life cycles in each design area are different, they still depend on each other. For example, mechanical components limit the design of electronics and electrical connections in many ways.

From purchasing and design to manufacturing, electronic subsystems require the collaboration and optimization of several areas.

Software modules, on the other hand, have a rather short life cycle in which development changes can be implemented quickly. This allows for regular product updates, but the embedded software is needed to be tracked and managed as a “part”. Communication between multiple software modules and electronic subsystems requires the design of flexible electrical connections that can be used in multiple product configurations and platforms.

These are exactly the challenges that make our work exciting! In mechanics, mechatronics, software, hardware and embedded systems, you can draw on our many years of experience and know-how. Our team of engineers and specialists is looking forward to working out your individual solution. The quality of corresponding solutions – whether components, assemblies or systems – are our top priority. In accordance with our service and performance promise, we only leave when you are satisfied.
